Toms River Criminal Attorneys
Matthew Dorry, Former Prosecutor in Toms River on StaffToms River New Jersey is the county seat and also happens to be the busiest municipality in terms of criminal charges and traffic offenses in the region. Toms River ranks second in terms of population (i.e. 91,239 residents as of 2010) and is the home of the Ocean County Superior Court and Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office, all of which translate into more complaints than would be expected in the typical municipality in Ocean County. If you were arrested and are facing a municipal court offense like shoplifting, marijuana possession, DWI, simple assault or disorderly conduct, a conviction is something that you absolutely want to avoid. A plea or finding of guilt will result in a criminal record, fines and the possibility of a county jail term. The situation is even more pressing if your charge involves a first degree, second degree, third degree or fourth degree crime, for example, aggravated assault, burglary, cocaine distribution, possession with intent to distribute prescription drugs or another felony indictable offense.
