If your summons or complaint is being heard in Lacey Municipal Court, there are are few basics that you should know. This court is one of limited jurisdiction lacking authority to decide felony indictable crimes of the first, second, third or fourth degree. The misdemeanor criminal charges heard in the Lacey Municipal Court are disorderly persons offenses. The municipal court is also responsible for deciding all traffic and motor vehicle summonses issued within the borders of the Township, including driving while suspended, DWI, possession of CDS in a motor vehicle, driving without insurance and leaving the scene of an accident.
Lacey Municipal Court is located at 818 West Lacey Road, Forked River, New Jersey 08731. The violations clerk and rest of the court staff can be reached by calling 609-693-1100, ext. 2262, during regular business hours. The Court Administrator is Laurie Frankopf. All proceedings are presided over by the Honorable Damian G. Murray. All summonses, tickets and complaints filed by members of the Lacy Township Police Department or state troopers within the municipality are prosecuted by Steven Zabarsky, Esq.
